In the territories once reserved for dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu, up to several hundred fallow deer are appearing in the wild.
The flat terrain offers little cover - which is why hunting at such imperial stalls becomes a special challenge due to the often long distances.
Already at the beginning of October the fallow deer rut is in full swing here with a pleasant 20°C, some morning mist and light precipitation.
