The image sharpness of the new EL 42 has not been achieved in any binoculars before. The Field Flattener lenses used produce an almost flat image. Even the finest structures and the smallest details are resolved with pin-sharp resolution right to the edge. For the first time the observer gets a perfect picture without disturbing distortions.
