Mode of action: Ticks have extremely sensitive sucker nerves. The active ingredient Zeckprotec causes a "hot-feet effect", i.e. the ticks' sucking feet become hot when they touch the fabric of the clothing. The tick therefore rolls up immediately and falls off before biting into the skin.

The Zeckprotec active ingredient based on permethrin is odourless, absolutely skin-friendly and harmless to humans. This was confirmed by a dermatological test of the Derma-Test-Institute in Münster in 2009.
