Retrieval dummy for teaching the young dog the correct way to handle flying game.

Dokken's Dead Fowl was patented by Tom Dokken, a professional hunting dog trainer whose hunting dog breeding is one of the largest in the USA.
It has been subjected to five years of endurance testing on hundreds of hunting dogs with great success, always with the goal of providing  with the most realistic training possible.

The body of the mallard dummy is made of a soft, natural-feeling plastic. The duck's free-moving head and legs are made of a very hard plastic that is uncomfortable for the dog to pick up. This design causes the dog to prefer to hold the duck dummy in the center of its body and avoid the head and legs.
The design also counteracts shaking, as the free-hanging hard head hits the dog's muzzle uncomfortably when shaken.
These dummies feature the natural weight of the bird species in question, and there is the option to apply or inject with scent. We recommend the synthetic scents of PETE RICKARDS, which are also available from us.

DOKKEN'S mallard dummies are permanently buoyant, even after they have been perforated on the surface by dog teeth during continuous use.
A throwing cord simplifies the precise long throw by the dog trainer at the water.
