CANIHUNT DEFENDER 2.0 dog vest

The CANIHUNT DEFENDER 2.0® was developed to offer a unique vest model. With its ultra-technical design, 4 layers of puncture-resistant fabric and camouflage design in neon orange, the vest is a real eye-catcher.
As an impact protection vest for dogs hunting European big game, it offers ultra-performance technical features and maximum comfort for the dogs thanks to its countless special features.
The neon orange color makes the dog highly visible during your driven hunts, while the contemporary "safety-orange" camouflage pattern makes this model unique on the vest market.

• Puncture resistant fabric made of 4 layers of POLYETHYLENE, with an extremely high perforation protection of over 4200 Newton per mm².

• Highly technical CORDURA® brand outer material (600 dtex) with RIPSTOP structure, tear-resistant and extremely abrasion-resistant.

• Flexible buckle fastening system with chest circumference adjustment of up to +/- 15 cm   

• Safety orange camouflage design

OUTSIDE: CORDURA 600 DTEX® RIPSTOP FABRIC
The outer material of the DEFENDER 2.0® vest is a CORDURA® 600 DTEX with RIPSTOP structure.
It resists even thorny and aggressive biotopes and, thanks to its design, gives the dog plenty of freedom of movement.
This outer material has been treated with 2 induction layers that make the vest water-repellent or virtually waterproof.
This also protects the inner, puncture-resistant fabric from moisture and UV radiation.
An extremely tear-resistant sewing thread has been selected to limit localized damage caused by abrasion.
Highly technical, tear-resistant fabric with RIPSTOP structure, resistant to the most aggressive biotopes.

4layers of ANTI-PERFORATION FABRIC made of 100% POLYETHYLENE:
4 layers in the thorax and abdomen area and 3 layers on the neck section ensure an ultra-performant puncture-resistant vest, extreme flexibility and superior maneuverability.
In the perforation test according to EN NORM 13567, this proven CANIHUNT layer concept achieves a puncture resistance of over 4200 Newton!

ANTI-TRAUMA FABRIC
This fabric layer is equipped with an anti-trauma fabric that distributes the pressure wave of an impact over a larger area than a woven fabric would allow.

WATERPROOFLINING
80% polyester with 20% waterproof/breathable membrane

REFLECTIVE STRIP
The CANIHUNT DEFENDER 2.0® sow protection vest is equipped with a light-reflecting strip.
It guarantees your dog maximum visibility, especially in the dark and during the hunt. Your telephone number can also be written on it.

FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT
The design of the DEFENDER 2.0® protective vest in the neck area was conceived in such a way that your dog's movements are not impaired by the vest.
The lower neck part of the vest has been adapted to allow the dog to lower and turn its head for maximum mobility and comfort.

OPTIMUM SHOULDER PROTECTION
To provide additional protection for your dog, the DEFENDER 2.0® vest has been designed with a unique cut in the shoulder area.
This design technique therefore offers optimum protection.

BACK FLAP
The extended back flap closes your dog's back in a form-fitting manner, preventing accidental opening in dense vegetation.

REINFORCEDUNDERBELLY PROTECTION
The protection of the vest has been reinforced in the lower belly area (lower rear part of the vest), which offers your dog optimum protection against wild boar attacks.
This feature reduces the risk of slashing and other injuries caused by wild boar weapons.

VELCRO® VELCRO®FASTENER
To ensure optimum quality of our products, CANIHUNT has integrated a Velcro® fastener from the well-known Velcro® brand into its fastening systems.
This Velcro® fastener is a worldwide reference, as it offers very strong holding power even under extreme conditions. This type of fastening offers you and your dog safety when hunting.

REINFORCED SEAMS
To ensure the DEFENDER 2.0® protective vest's seams are extremely durable, they are stitched crosswise with a high-quality thread.
Thanks to this technique, the seams are additionally reinforced.

ADJUSTABLE STRAPS
The straps are adjusted to the dog's anatomy to ensure a good and secure fit. It is important to find the right fit so that the dog is not injured or physically restricted during the hunt.
This buckle closure system allows you to adjust the straps by up to 15 cm.

Lining seams
This technique provides a much softer edge finish and prevents it from hurting the dog.

SIZE GUIDE:
Select the appropriate size of the CANIHUNT DEFENDER 2.0 vest by measuring the chest circumference (A in the picture) at the lowest point of the ribcage directly behind the front legs.
The vest size should be slightly oversized so that the dog can expand its chest properly without being constricted by the vest, even during physically demanding use.
The following size allowances have proven to be appropriate for the dog breed and serve to ensure optimum mobility during use:

DJT Hunting Terrier: Measured value 50cm - vest size 55
Kopov-Bracke: Measured value 65cm - vest size 70
KlM Kleiner Münsterländer: Measured value 69cm - vest size 75
DK German Shorthair: Measured value 79cm - vest size 85
